Jim Van Ness provides legal representation in all areas of family law. He specializes in custody cases, with a focus on advocating men’s rights. In addition, he has a successful business law practice focusing on formation, intellectual property, and trade issues.

Mr. Van Ness is a past member of the Oregon State Bar Disciplinary Board, the  United States District Court Local Rules Advisory Committee, and a current  member of the Marion County Practice and Procedures Committee. He is licensed to practice in Oregon and Washington.
